The most coveted “It” bags have almost always been expensive and inaccessible, from the Hermès Kelly and the Fendi Baguette to the Gucci Jackie and the Lady Dior. In 2020, Los Angeles–based label JW Pei dropped a minimalist shoulder bag called the Eva. Priced at just $59, the bag looked way more expensive than it actually was and quickly went viral.

One year later, the brand launched the $89 Gabbi, which became the ultimate “It” bag of 2021. Not only was it impossible to walk down the street without seeing one, but celebrities including Hailey Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski, and Gigi Hadid were also spotted out and about with the ruched hobo bag slung over their shoulder.

JW Pei has since launched more handbags and expanded into footwear, jewelry, sunglasses, and clothing. And you can find most of the selection on Amazon, and, lucky for you, they’re majorly marked down right now for Prime Day. Yes, even the suede brown one we’ve been coveting since spring.
